MORE THINGS TO DO IN ISRAEL

There is a lot more to do in Israel than sight-seeing and pilgrimage. Some of these activities you can do on your own, but I can be helpful in introducing you to some of the others:
  •  Meet friends or family. Make new friends.
  • Spend time on the beach and bathe in the Mediterranean Sea or the Dead Sea, or the Red Sea, in Eilat.
  • Experience the amazing variety of cuisines you can find in Israel.
  •  Many visitors come to Israel for business – to work, to learn and practice, as customers of high-tech Israeli companies, or to participate in professional or scientific conferences.
  •  Visit industrial centers of advanced technology or get acquainted with the sophisticated Israeli agricultural technology.
  • Go birdwatching! One of the main routes of bird migration crosses the Land of Israel, making Israel one of the best birdwatching places on earth.
  •  Participate in a mass sports event, such as a marathon or bicycle race.
  •  Get to know the unique Israeli type of communal village – the kibbutz.
  •  Encounter some of the more traditional cultural or ethnic groups in Israel, such as Arabs, Bedouins, or orthodox Jews.
  •  Be a spectator at cultural events, starring either local or foreign performers.
  •  Taste and buy high-quality wines in one of the wineries that are reviving the ancient art of wine-making.
  •  Buy souvenirs and presents. I will show you reliable shops that have a wide choice of typical local artwork, such as olive wood carvings and Armenian pottery, as well as artist's workshops and art galleries.
  • Buy antiquities, such as ancient coins or pottery. Yes, it is legal in Israel to buy antiquities, from authorized dealers, of course.
  •  Did you know that Israel has the largest diamond exchange center in the world? And that some of the finest cut diamonds and diamond jewelry are produced and sold here? And they are available for less!
